“I love freestyle BMX. I love the freedom that comes with riding and the trips I can take with my bike,” says Swiss Austrian ripper Edgar (Eddi) Huber. 2024 marked a major milestone in his riding career: that year, he competed in his first European Championship, in the elite men’s category. He has been blazing in the saddle since he was mini. In fact, since before he could ride, because he spent his formative years building jumps in his sandpit for his Playmobile BMX. His inspiration to ride came from his cousin, a slopestyle rider, but as he was too small for MTB bikes, his folks bought him a BMX, and he never looked back. Eddi popped his comp cherry in local Swiss contests, but in 2021, he rode his first FISE contest. And by 2023 he had earned a spot on the Swiss National Team: “My goal is to one day be one of the best riders in the world,” dreams the hyperactive teen, who says the best part about competing is riding with friends. “And I want to travel the world with my homies, riding international contests and training hard.” Eddi kicks ass in the Evolution and Sentinel Full Face Helmets, TSG’s Kneeguard Chamber, Ankle Support, Crashpant A, Singuard BMX, and Elbow-Sleeve Dermis A.
