The master of uphillflow

Stefan Schlie is a jack of all trades who has been in the right place at the right time several times in his life. Born in 1972 and riding Mountain-Bike Trials since 1984, the man from Osnabrueck, Germany collected many titles in this discipline that was still in its infancy at the time. During his long and successful Trials career, he took several wins in German championships and Team World Championships and got vice world champion twice. Later, Stefan concentrated on Trials shows and mountain-bike activities such as guiding and teaching riding skills.

The rapid developments in eMTB gave his life a new twist: thanks to Bosch eBike Systems and his friendship with its CEO Claus Fleischer, he discovered the fun of riding demanding uphill trails with an eMTB in 2013 and dedicated his life to his new passion, #uphillflow.

With his series of “Uphill Flow” movies that he kick-started in 2014, he set a new trend and contributed significantly to the success of technically skilled e-mountain biking. As a pioneer of the discipline, his goal is to carry the idea of #uphillflow to the world and share its fascination in all directions. “I’m just crazy about bikes,” he characterizes himself. “I love technology and innovation and all kind of devices. I love nature. I love society. And sometimes, I like to party,” he laughs. TSG feels honoured to have this skilful and progressive rider in the team.
